Super domestique Chris Juul-Jensen will begin his seventh season with GreenEDGE Cycling in 2022, as he signs on for two more years, continuing to be one of the important foundations of the team’s engine room.
Chris Juul-Jensen wins 2018 Tour of Switzerland stage four.
Since joining the Australian outfit back in 2016, the Danish rider has been a crucial team player, utilising his wide skillset on and off the bike, to help deliver the squad to numerous victories ranging from hilly Grand Tours stages to flat one-day races.
The 2018 Tour de Suisse stage winner will be a key member of the squad in 2022 as well as a role model and mentor for the younger up-and-coming riders.

Our very own Michael Mørkøv showed his fantastic form on the track by winning the Ballerup 3-Day in Copenhagen this weekend.
Partnering Lasse Norman Hansen, with whom Michael has had so much success, including back-to-back Madison World Championships and a gold medal at this Summer’s Tokyo Olympics, the pair secured victory on the final day of the event. Also racing there was the pairing of Mark Cavendish and Iljo Keisse, who finished 5th.
Speaking of the victory Michael said, ‘We were obviously a big thrill for us to win in on our home track and it was actually the first chance that we had to ride together in our World Champion’s jerseys. Since we had won in Berlin 2020 we didn’t have a chance to ride together, but luckily we won again in Roubaix and we had a chance to show the jerseys. To do this at my home track, where I grew up dreaming about becoming a world champion was a very special feeling.
It was obviously a hard race with a very strong field. The first two days were really close, which setup an exciting finish. On the final day, Lasse and I were going really well and were pleased that we could take a home victory.
To win was a great preparation for Ghent, where I have not raced for 6 years. Back then I raced with Iljo and we won, so to race against him and Cav will be special. Because I ride for a Belgian team it is always special to ride there and to get to who the World Champion’s jersey in front of so many friends will mean a lot to me.'

Bicycle Retailer & Industry News sent me this update:
BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Now that PeopleForBikes and Call2Recycle have established the industry's first e-bike battery recycling program for U.S. retailers, proper training and equipment will be mandatory to ensure safe storage of expired packs returned to shops, according to a micromobility consulting group.
PeopleForBikes announced the recycling program on Nov. 3, with about 20 industry suppliers and manufacturers supporting and funding the safe collection and recycling of lithium-ion e-bike batteries to help reduce overall recycling costs. Retailers can begin enrolling in the program in February to become collection sites.
Most shops are still unaware of the program, which is optional. Some industry experts said retailers should embrace the program but also educate themselves on battery safety and invest in safety equipment before agreeing to participate.
More than 40 bike industry leaders from 20 PeopleForBikes member companies united under a sustainability task force and e-bike committee to design the program. It aims to address the environmental concerns associated with expired, damaged, or defective lithium-ion batteries.
"The coolest thing about this program is that it is a tangible demonstration of what (the industry is) capable of doing together," said Troy Jones, Specialized Bicycle Components social and environmental responsibility manager.
