Here’s the team’s upsdate:
Movistar Team will keep counting on the skills of the Menorcan Albert Torres and the Pordenone native Davide Cimolai for another season.
In 2024, Torres joined for his fifth season, while Cimolai started his first with Eusebio Unzué’s team.
Davide Cimolai wins stage 2 of the 2019 Castilla-Leon race.
Albert Torres (from Ciutadella, Spain; born 1990) joined Movistar Team in 2020, and his ability to adapt each year to the team’s needs has earned him a long career with the Navarre-based squad. This season, he covered a total of 7,413 km over 48 race days, including the Giro d’Italia.
REACTION / Albert Torres:
“I’m really happy to be renewing for another year with Movistar Team. They gave me the chance to join them back in 2020, and they still have full confidence in my abilities. I’m really grateful to keep going with them into 2025.
"Staying on for another season means the team is happy with me. I’ll keep playing my part to support my teammates, a role that makes me proud and lets me share in the team’s successes”.
Davide Cimolai (Pordenone, ITA; 1989) made his debut this season with the Telefónica squad, and his performance earned him a contract extension through 2025. The seasoned Italian rider has been leading the team’s sprinters and wraps up the current season with 12,059 km raced over 77 days of competition.
REACTION / Davide Cimolai:
“Since I joined this team last year, I’ve felt like family. It’s been an amazing year, full of emotions, and I’ve always said I want to finish my career with Movistar Team.
"I’m really happy to have renewed for another year. I’ve always felt supported by my teammates here. Thanks to Eusebio and the whole Movistar Team for the trust they’ve placed in me. My family will always be grateful to you.”
Here’s the team’s post:
Cyclo-cross specialists, without neglecting their progress on the road, Amandine Fouquenet and Rémi Lelandais have extended their contract with the Arkea-B&B Hotels Femmes et Development teams.
Amandine Fouquenet:
I have been part of the Arkea-B&B Hotels Femmes team since its creation in 2020. So I am part of "the furniture", if I may say so. I am really delighted to continue with Arkea-B&B Hotels, because I am Breton and so there is always this little bit of pride in wearing the colours of my region. I see the Arkea-B&B Hotels Femmes team evolving over time, and I can see that we are getting closer and closer to the very best in certain circumstances. We have high-quality riders in our squad, whom I can support on the road; and in cyclo-cross in the winter, I have every latitude to be able to play my card. This dual sporting project ultimately gives me a great balance

Rémi Lelandais:
The Arkea-B&B Hotelsteam allows me to successfully complete my dual road and cyclo-cross sports project, and continuing within this training is a real satisfaction. I see that everything that is set up is working, the staff has confidence in me, I can continue to be professional while progressing, to, why not, in the future join the UCI World Tour team. I will compete in the entire 2024-2025 cyclo-cross season. My goals will be the French Championships, to see the French Cup, or if I prioritize the World Cup rounds. And the very first for me is the Elite European Championships. I have really found my balance at Arkea-B&B Hotels between road and cyclo-cross. It is rare in France to have a professional team that helps cyclo-cross in this way, and it is a great opportunity to be part of it.
Emmanuel Hubert, General Manager:
Cyclo-cross is a fantastic school for cycling, and helps train the good road racers of tomorrow. There are many examples of this kind. Rémi Lelandais, who joined the Arkea-B&B Hotels structure, immediately found his place in our training, and quickly brought us great satisfaction during both the winter and summer seasons. Extending Amandine Fouquenet within the Women's structure and Rémi Lelandais seemed like an obvious choice. Amandine is indeed one of the best specialists in France, while improving at the international level. She also had a great season on the road as a teammate. Rémi Lelandais, who was still in the U23 category last year, moved up to the Elites this winter, and for us, alongside Clément Venturini. He must be one of the leaders of the discipline in France, while continuing to gain international stature. He must also continue his training as a road driver, highlighting his fine qualities as a puncher.
