The race:
The Maryland Cycling Classic (as of 2022) is the only race in the the United States that is part of the UCI Pro Series.
The first edition of the race was initially planned to be held in September, 2020, but with the Covid pandemic, the race was postponed twice.
The Maryland Cycling Classic is part of a three-day Labor Day weekend of healthy lifestyle and living with various other events and festivities occurring along with the race.
