Tour de Picardie (2.1), France
Winners, podium, distance, average speed
The Tour de Picardie is a short stage race (in 2014 it had three stages) held in May in the Picardy region of northern France.
The race's roots go back to its origin in 1936 as the Tour de l'Oise. In 1999 it was renamed the Tour de Picardie et de l'Oise. In 2000 it was given its current name, the Tour de Picardie.
The Tour de Picardie is currently owned by ASO, the organizer of the Tour de France, Vuelta a España, Paris-Roubaix and several other prestigious races.
No rider has won the Tour de Picardy more than twice, though four riders have accomplished that trick: Willy Teirlinck, Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle, Jelle Nijdam and Michael Sanstød.
In 2005 the Tour de Picardie was rated 2.1 and made part of the UCI Europe Tour.
