Thomas De Gendt was only a few seconds back.
Cataldo was a wreck after barely getting up the 23% final kilometer.

After enduring countless attacks from Contador, Rodriguez unleashes on of his own.
But he cold not open much of a gap either
Almost never far from Rodriguez and Contador, Valverde punched welll above his weight today.
Nairo Quintana dragged Valverde back up to Rodriguez and Contador at least once.
