September 22: Junior Men's individual time trial, 30 km/ 18.6 miles
Leo Appelt racing to his Gold medal
The race: Leo Appelt was the class rider of the day, having the fastest time at every split. The competitors faced gusty winds today, but at least they weren't harassed with rain as some riders yesterday were.
The United States took the silver and bronze medals. Second-place Adrien Costa was the silver medalist at last year's World's and was disappointed to not move up to gold this year.
